Summer term week 3
Prayer point of the week: Go Week! Please pray that God will be glorified through it, for ideas for Go Week and the organization of the events, for wisdom and boldness for all the members of the hall groups in inviting their friends and talking to people who come. Please pray that lots of non-Christians will come, that the gospel will be presented clearly, and people will be saved!
Prayer & Praise is on Wednesday 5.00-6.00pm in the Oasis Lounge in SFH.
Central is on Thursday from 7.30-9.00pm in St Francis Hall (as usual) with refreshments afterwards. This week is Go Global Central with Lindsay Brown speaking. It is also a Gift Day – please be thinking and praying about if or how much you would like to give.

Other info
PETE (Post Exam Training in Evangelism) - Agape are looking for some students to be part of a team to help run PETE. Ideally these people would also be able to lead the running of PETE next year. The dates for this year's PETE are 9th and 11th June. If you are interested, please talk to any member of the exec.
Health and Safety - We are looking for a couple of people with skills in this area and some spare time to be health and safety advisors for BUECU. The job would involve compiling risk assessments and keeping BUECU up to date health and safety wise. If you feel you may be able to do this please let Rachel Hull know. Thank you!
Internationals Outreach Opportunities -
English Club - Thursday 5.00-7.00pm, SFH, Oasis Lounge. This is run by Agape and is a time where students come and learn about the English language, culture and about what crazy English sayings that don't always make much sense mean... like... cheeky monkey. We go through fun pronunciation stuff, some explaining of English culture and also study a text in the Bible, which is usually from the gospels and is about Jesus (legend) with questions, tea and cake. It's all good! If you've never been before, no worries - just come along and we'll walk you through it! There's some good banter and it's awesome to get to chat to them about Jesus... We've seen some real fruit from what's happening!
Globe Cafe - Mondays 8.00-10.00pm, in two locations - (1) Priorsfield, Edgbaston Road, between the Guild and the Vale and (2) St Wulstan's church (opposite Tesco express on the Bristol Road). This is a place where international students come, to chat, share a drink and maybe take part in an optional Bible study. There is a different theme each week (e.g. a cultural or musical theme, or a fun activity, or a food evening). It's run by Friends International, and if you go along, they would very much appreciate your help, and it's an awesome opportunity to share the gospel in a chilled out environment.
Musicians Wanted - Talk to Lewis Goodall (07764 753447) if you can play in the worship band. Especially drummers and bassists!
House group - If you are not in Halls, we really encourage you to be thinking and praying about getting involved in a house group. This is a great opportunity to meet with other students to study the Bible and have a time of fellowship. If you would like to get involved, please contact Graham Newton.
Recordings of Central and other talks are available on the recordings page.
