Internationals
20% of students at the University of Birmingham (that's around 5000 students) come from other parts of the world to study. Most then return home, often to fairly high profile jobs where they will be of great influence. Many of these students are from countries which are closed to Christianity so they have never been able to hear about Jesus. What an amazing opportunity, as the world comes to us, to make Jesus known globally!

It's quite scary arriving in a new country with unfamiliar people, weather and culture, let alone trying to study in what is usually a second language. We try to help international students practically, making friendships with them, building an opportunity to share Jesus with them. BUECU works in partnership with Agape and Friends International who run free weekly events specifically for international students. We also run 1-2-1s with international students, a perfect way to get to know each other better, do a series of Bible studies together and to find out about the Christian faith.
If you're a Christian International student, we encourage you to get stuck into all parts of the life of BUECU!
We have an internationals team to support this work. For info on joining that team or any other international info, contact Samantha Ho.
