Why church?
'Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching.' - Hebrews 10: 25
Living as a Christian is not easy and was never meant to be done alone. Now you're at university you'll find you become very busy with essays and coursework as well as settling into a new place and meeting new people.
The passage above reminds us of the importance of meeting together to encourage one another in the hope we have in Jesus Christ. It is really important that while at university you settle into a church, which helps you grow in your faith. A church will be the place where you are receive good teaching and fellowship with other Christians. BUECU is the evangelistic arm of the local churches. It is not a church itself.
To help you find a church, please take a look at the church guide page on our website or ask for a Church Guide booklet at one of our meetings.
We are praying:
'That your love may abound more and more in the knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ - to the glory and praise of God' - Philippians 1:9-11
